Written for Key Stage 3, this scheme of work was designed around the new Ofsted framework. It provides pupils with the beginnings of critical thinking by exploring the way newspapers work, split into 4 study areas with most essential and some optional extension lessons. The only thing a teacher using this scheme needs to do is provide some more up-to-date newspapers for some of the lessons.
